About The Golden Chariot
The Golden Chariot is the result of joint initiative taken by the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation and Indian Railways. It is one of the best luxury trains operated in India and is loved by tourists.

Luxurious Facilities
The luxury train is equipped with all kind of modern amenities to live upto to the expectations of guests. Every suite is well appointed and meticulously crafted to experience the royal lifestyle of Kings. Chambers are adorned with intricate carving on the ceilings. Each coach is named after the former ruling dynasties of the state. All comforts are provided to make your stay a memorable one. The train includes fully A/C cabins, vanity/writing desk, 26 twin beds, 17 double bed cabins and 1 cabin for physically challenged. Every cabin is fitted with LCD television, DVD player, Wi-fi, Wardrobe and attached bathroom with luxurious accessories.

Conference Coach
The Golden Chariot train has a Conference coach, which can accommodate 30 people.


Gym Coach
Start your day with some exercises at ayurveda centre, spa and gym on the train. Gym coach consists: two massage rooms and a well equipped gymnasium.

Restaurants and Bar
The train has two restaurants – Nala and Ruchi. Guests can relish at delicious varieties of vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisines. Restaurants consist 4 seater and 2 seater dinning cabins with sofas and chairs. The interiors of the restaurant are designed with antique decor, inspired by architectural splendor of Halebid and Hampi. The elegantly decorated 'Madira' – the lounge bar is highly influenced by the design of Mysore Palace. Guests can relax themselves by sipping variety of cocktails.
